Growth rarely follows a straight line. Architect for Change shows technology leaders how to design platforms that adapt without constant re-writes. You will learn how to set a clear destination, shape the right domain boundaries, and decide when to use microservices, event-driven workflows and loose coupling so teams can move independently. The eBook covers reliability, observability and cost control, plus practical migration patterns that reduce risk. Written for OTT, streaming and digital publishing, it gives your teams a common language to make better trade-offs and deliver faster with confidence.

What you'll learn
What you'll learn
Learn how to frame change with intent, reduce organisational resistance, and plan for evolution rather than a fixed end state. You’ll see where Agile helps and where it hinders, define what the business truly needs from its software, and clarify the architect’s role in turning strategy into delivery. You’ll understand when microservices add speed, how loose coupling increases resilience and autonomy, and how metadata-driven services let teams ship behaviour changes without heavy releases. Finally, you’ll bring these principles together into a practical approach you can apply across OTT, streaming and digital publishing platforms.

Inside the eBook, we explore why change is constant and how to respond with intent, the psychology of change and reducing resistance, and why planning for evolution beats a brittle end state. We cover where Agile helps and where it hinders, what the business needs from its software, the architect’s role, when microservices add speed, the value of loose coupling and metadata-driven services, learning safely from failure, and a practical blueprint to put it all together.
