What we're looking for
We’re looking for a highly organised, detail-driven Finance Administrator & Bookkeeper to join Spicy Mango on a part-time basis (approximately 40 hours per month). This role is fundamental to the smooth running of our financial operations, providing end-to-end ownership of day-to-day finance activities while supporting business decision-making through accurate reporting and forecasting.
You will be responsible for managing core finance processes across sales and purchase ledgers, invoicing, cashflow, and reporting, working closely with both internal stakeholders and external partners. This is a hands-on role suited to someone comfortable operating autonomously in a growing, fast-paced B2B environment, with the confidence to collaborate across finance, sales, business development, and delivery teams.
Working hours are flexible and will be agreed with the successful candidate. However, availability must fall within core business hours of 10:00am to 3:00pm (UK time) to support collaboration with internal teams and external partners.
You'll need to have
Proven experience in a finance administration and/or bookkeeping role within a B2B organisation
Hands-on experience using Xero as a core finance system
Strong understanding of sales and purchase ledger management, invoicing, and credit control
Experience preparing financial reports, including profit & loss statements and cashflow forecasts
Confidence working with external partners such as management accountants and auditors
Strong working knowledge of the Microsoft 365 suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
Experience using Slack, Microsoft Teams, or similar direct messaging and collaboration tools
Excellent attention to detail with a high level of accuracy and accountability
Ability to manage competing priorities and work independently in a remote-first environment
Ideally, you’ll also have
Experience working with HubSpot or other CRM-based sales tools and processes
Background in SaaS and/or professional services organisations
Exposure to software or technology sales environments
Experience supporting finance processes that interface closely with sales, business development, and project delivery functions
What you'll do
Manage Spicy Mango’s sales and purchase ledgers, ensuring accuracy and timely processing
Create, issue, and track customer invoices, supporting effective cash collection
Maintain strong working relationships with customers, partners, and suppliers on financial matters
Liaise closely with external management accountants to support month-end, year-end, and compliance activities
Produce regular financial reports, including P&L statements and cashflow forecasts, to support leadership decision-making
Work closely with the sales and business development team to ensure accurate billing, forecasting, and revenue tracking
Collaborate with the PMO function to align financial tracking with project delivery and resourcing
Maintain clear, auditable financial records and contribute to continuous improvement of finance processes
Why work at Spicy Mango?
We’re building something exciting, and we want passionate, empowered people to be part of it. Spicy Mango offers the flexibility, autonomy, and variety you’d expect from an SME, with the stability and impact of a trusted partner. Here’s what you can look forward to:
Fully distributed role – work from anywhere in the UK
Part-time commitment of approximately 40 hours per month
Flexible working hours, agreed collaboratively, within core hours of 10:00am–3:00pm
Autonomy and trust – take ownership of the finance function and how it operates
Supportive, collaborative culture – work closely with engaged and respectful colleagues
Varied and interesting work – support a growing business across multiple sectors
Competitive, pro-rata salary and benefits package
Top-tier hardware and tools to support remote working
Dedicated time for learning and development
Regular team socials – virtual and in-person
Come and be part of a team where your voice matters, your work makes a difference, and every day brings something new.
How to apply
If you’re excited by the opportunity to shape the future of digital products and technologies across media, sports, and digital publishing, we’d love to hear from you.
