What we're looking for
We are seeking a proactive, organised and delivery-focused Project Manager to join our growing team at Spicy Mango. This role is pivotal to planning and executing client projects across media, sports, entertainment and digital publishing, ensuring outcomes are delivered on time, to scope and within budget. You will coordinate cross functional teams, manage stakeholders with clarity, and keep projects moving with crisp communication, rigorous planning and a steady hand when priorities shift.
You will act as the central point of coordination for assigned projects, owning schedules, risks, budgets and reporting. You will create transparency for clients and internal teams, remove blockers quickly, and help us continuously improve how we deliver.
You'll need to have
Minimum 3 years of hands-on project management experience in a technology, product or professional services environment, ideally within media, entertainment sports or digital platforms
Demonstrable experience running projects in a B2B SaaS and or consultancy setting, from initiation through delivery and transition to service
Strong grasp of delivery frameworks and ways of working such as Agile, Scrum and or Kanban, with the pragmatism to tailor governance to the project context
Proven ability to manage scope, schedule and budget, including RAID management, change control and stakeholder communications
Experience coordinating cross functional teams spanning engineering, design, data, QA and DevOps, including distributed and remote teams
Confident client communication skills, including running stand ups, planning sessions, demos, steering meetings and project retrospectives
Competence with common PM tooling such as Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Office and presentation or reporting tools
Clear written documentation skills, producing statements of work, plans, risk logs, status reports and decision records
Calm, solutions oriented mindset with strong attention to detail and a focus on measurable outcomes
Nice to have. Familiarity with OTT, streaming, content supply chains, sports data or adjacent domains. Understanding of basic cloud concepts in AWS or similar. Exposure to vendor management and RFPs
What you'll do
Own end to end project delivery for a defined set of client initiatives, from discovery and planning through execution, launch and handover
Build detailed but lightweight plans. Define scope, milestones and resourcing. Maintain a living delivery schedule and keep all stakeholders aligned
Run effective ceremonies. Stand ups, sprint planning, reviews and retrospectives. Ensure decisions and actions are captured and followed through
Proactively manage risks, assumptions, issues and dependencies, with clear escalation paths and timely mitigation
Maintain tight control of scope and change. Operate a simple, transparent change process that protects timelines and budgets
Track progress and performance. Report status, KPIs and financials with clarity. Provide early warning when variance appears and propose corrective actions
Coordinate cross functional teams, remove blockers and facilitate collaboration between engineering, design, data, QA and operations
Serve as a trusted point of contact for clients. Set expectations, communicate clearly and manage stakeholder needs throughout the lifecycle
Prepare and run go live plans, readiness checkpoints and post launch reviews. Ensure a clean transition to service delivery or client teams
Contribute to continuous improvement across the delivery function. Evolve playbooks, templates and ways of working
Support pre sales activities when required. Input to estimates, delivery plans and statements of work
Recognise that some client events require out of hours coordination. Support planned on call or late working during critical periods, aligned with our always on commitments
Why work at Spicy Mango?
We’re building something exciting, and we want passionate, empowered people to be part of it. Spicy Mango offers the flexibility, autonomy, and variety you’d expect from an SME, with the stability and impact of a trusted partner. Here’s what you can look forward to:
